Audio/Video demonstrating the noise levels of Dell’s PowerEdge T300 server.

by Carl Farrington on Feb.20, 2009, under Computer Stuff, News & Reviews

Here is a short video clip I shot of a PowerEdge T300 alongside my normal workstation. As you can hear, the noise is not really a problem and I don’t think it is very loud at all.

    Hello,
Would it still be noisy if you put this (Dell PowerEdge T300) in a normal enviorment, Next to my Compaq computer under a desk?

    Thank you for the Video

Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. The startup noise reminds me of the SGI Visual Workstations. Makes me wonder if the T300 needs to call a control tower for take off clearance.

All in all it doesn’t sound any louder than my current home built server.

    Cheers
