I also am having issues connecting using NTLM. I am setup on the client side as you say, don't know about the Exchange Server as it is a hosted acct. This actually works for me but I can't see the Public Folders. In other words, when I open Outlook I get a username/password prompt, but if I click Cancel Outlook opens and shows my mailbox. If I try to view the Public Folders I get an error saying I am not connected????
Any ideas? The hosting company isn't helping much.

thanks,
Peter Lake

Jan: In IIS, on the properties of the RPC, Exchange, & Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync folders, you should check that "IP Address and Domain name restrictions" doesn't restrict IP addresses from accessing the services. For RPC/RPCwithCert & Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync, you would probably want "Grant all IP addresses" access.

Hi,

what do you mean with "you might want to check “IP address and domain name restrictions”"? What must be checked?

Hi Niclas. Are you saying that with NTLM, it doesn't work at all? This usually means that NTLM (Integrated Windows Authentication) isn't enabled in the IIS virtual directory as I mentioned above in the article. On SBS 2003 it is disabled by default. Did you check that?
